What tea is good for stress?

When it comes to stress, certain herbal teas can be surprisingly powerful in helping us unwind. As someone who spends lots of time mixing dried petals and leaves, I’ve come to rely on a few favourites that never fail to calm the mind and soothe the soul.

Linden

Linden, or lime blossom as it’s often called here in Europe, comes from a tree that’s literally been known as the "tree of peace." It’s a bit of an unsung hero in the tea world, but once you try it, you’ll understand. With a soft, honey-like taste and gentle floral aroma, linden is perfect for those times when your nervous system feels frayed at the edges. It’s especially lovely before bed or on a slow Sunday morning.

Lemon Balm

Bright, fresh, and ever-so-slightly citrusy, lemon balm is like a sunny day in herb form. It’s part of the mint family, but don’t worry, it’s far more mellow than peppermint. Lemon balm has a long history of being used to ease anxiety and improve mood, and modern science is catching up. It’s great when you’re feeling jittery or just need a mental reset. Think of it as a natural pick-me-up, minus the caffeine crash.

Chamomile

You probably saw this one coming, chamomile is the go-to herb for calm. It’s been steeped for centuries to help with sleep, tension, and general frayed nerves. But don’t underestimate it just because it’s common. Chamomile has a quiet strength about it. Its gentle apple-like flavour and calming properties make it a staple.

Rose Petals

Rose might seem like a luxury, but when it comes to stress, it’s got some real therapeutic weight. Not only do rose petals smell divine (and yes, scent can impact mood), they’re also known to help lift low spirits and ease emotional tension.

So, What’s the Best Tea for Stress?

Here’s the fun bit: you don’t have to choose just one. These herbs work beautifully on their own, but when you bring them together? That’s where we come in!

We created our Stress Relief Blend, a mix of linden, lemon balm, chamomile, and rose petals. It’s gentle, floral, slightly citrusy.

Brew it slow, sip it warm, and take that moment for yourself, because nothing is worth more than your health.
